How a Nordic Noggin Is Made

Every Noggin starts as a flat sheet of 100% wool felt, 3mm thick and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. From there it is cut, shaped, and stitched by hand in Canada.

Made to order

We make each hat when you order it, which takes about a week before it ships. Made to order means no warehouses of stock and no stale inventory - your hat was made for you, recently.

Slight variations are normal

Because each hat is handmade, no two are exactly alike. Slight variations in stitching and shape are part of the deal, not a defect.

Simple by design

We keep the design deliberately minimal: a clean shape, no loud branding. The focus is the material and the fit. You can read about why we chose 3mm wool felt here.

Built to be kept

A handmade hat should be a repairable hat. If a stitch comes loose down the road, email admin@nordicnoggin.ca - we will send a pre-paid shipping label, hand-mend your Noggin, and return it refreshed, free of charge.
