Shipping policy

United States and International Orders

United States Orders

Orders shipped to the United States are sent Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). Applicable import duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout and will appear in the customer’s order total before payment is completed.

Nordic Noggin is responsible for shipping these orders using a DDP service and remitting the applicable import charges. U.S. customers should not normally be required to pay additional duties or import taxes when their order is delivered.

If a delivery carrier requests an unexpected customs payment, please contact Nordic Noggin before paying the charge whenever reasonably possible. Include a copy of the carrier’s notice or invoice so we can investigate the charge and work with the carrier toward an appropriate resolution.

Orders Outside Canada and the United States

Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, orders shipped to destinations outside Canada and the United States are sent Delivered at Place (DAP).

These orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, brokerage charges, customs-clearance fees, carrier administration fees or other charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost and must be paid by the recipient before or upon delivery.

Nordic Noggin does not control or determine these charges and cannot guarantee their amount. Customers are responsible for confirming their country’s import requirements before placing an order.

Customs Processing and Delays

All international orders are subject to the customs laws and import requirements of the destination country. Customs authorities or delivery carriers may request additional information from the recipient before releasing a shipment.

Customs inspections and clearance procedures may delay delivery beyond the original estimate. Nordic Noggin is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, carrier processing, unpaid import charges or other border-clearance procedures outside our reasonable control.

Refused or Unclaimed International Shipments

If a DAP shipment is refused, abandoned or returned because the recipient does not pay the required import charges, any refund will be handled in accordance with Nordic Noggin’s Refund Policy.

Where permitted by applicable law, the refund may be reduced by original shipping charges, return-shipping expenses, customs fees, brokerage charges or other costs incurred in recovering the shipment. Any applicable refund will be processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected.

By placing an international order, the customer acknowledges and accepts the applicable shipping terms and responsibility for any charges described above.

Shipping, Delivery and Package Responsibility

Nordic Noggin ships orders using trackable delivery services. Customers will receive tracking information after their orders have been fulfilled.

Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. Nordic Noggin is not responsible for delays or additional expenses caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.

Please contact Nordic Noggin as soon as possible if an address needs to be corrected. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been processed or transferred to the delivery carrier.

Orders will be shipped only to the shipping address associated with the order unless an address change is approved by Nordic Noggin before shipment.

Delivery Method

Unless signature service is included or expressly requested, the customer agrees that the delivery carrier may complete delivery using its standard delivery procedures. Depending on the destination and carrier, this may include delivery to:

  • The address entered at checkout

  • A mailbox or community mailbox

  • A parcel locker

  • A building concierge or reception area

  • Another person present at the delivery address

  • A location at the delivery address that the carrier considers reasonably secure

Customers who require delivery directly to a recipient should contact Nordic Noggin before placing their order to ask about signature service. Additional charges may apply.

Nordic Noggin may require signature confirmation for higher-value, wholesale or other selected orders.

Lost or Delayed Shipments

If tracking has not updated for an unusual period or a shipment appears to be lost in transit, please contact Nordic Noggin promptly. We will review the tracking information and, where appropriate, open an investigation or insurance claim with the delivery carrier.

Carrier investigations can take time to complete. A replacement or refund will not normally be issued while an active carrier investigation remains unresolved, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Packages Marked as Delivered

If tracking shows that a package was delivered but it cannot be located, the customer should:

  1. Confirm that the shipping address on the order is correct.

  2. Check all entrances, mailboxes, parcel lockers and other possible delivery locations.

  3. Ask household members, neighbours, building management or a concierge whether they accepted the package.

  4. Contact the delivery carrier for delivery details.

  5. Notify Nordic Noggin promptly if the package remains missing.

Nordic Noggin will review the available delivery evidence and assist with an eligible carrier investigation. Proof of delivery from the carrier—including tracking records, delivery photographs, GPS information or a recipient’s signature—may be used to confirm that the order was delivered using the agreed delivery method.

Nordic Noggin does not guarantee an automatic refund or replacement for a package that the carrier confirms was properly delivered. Each report will be assessed individually and in accordance with applicable law.

Damaged Shipments

Customers should inspect their orders after delivery and contact Nordic Noggin promptly if an item arrives damaged.

Please retain the product, shipping box, label and all packaging materials while the claim is being reviewed. Photographs of the damaged product and packaging may be required to submit a carrier or insurance claim.

Customers agree to provide reasonable cooperation and documentation required for a delivery investigation or claim.

Theft After Delivery

Once a package has been properly delivered using the delivery method disclosed and agreed to at purchase, the customer is responsible for keeping the package secure. Nordic Noggin is not responsible for theft or loss occurring after proper delivery, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available to a customer under applicable consumer-protection law.
